Fans of the long-running Australian soap likely won’t be surprised to learn that Scarlett falls into the optimistic camp when it comes to starting school.

The smiling one-month-old who first melted viewers hearts in January 2013, takes after her on-screen parents when it comes to boundless enthusiasm.

She’s played the daughter of Eve Morey’s Sonya and Ryan Moloney’s Toadfish since long before she could walk.

For Scarlett, the best part about her impending first day of school is the fact she’ll now get to learn and hang out with mates under one convenient roof.

‘I love learning new things and I get to spend time with my friends,’ the five-year-old beamed.

Just in case there was any doubt, the adorable actress added: ‘And I also love my new uniform.’

There’s little doubt Scarlett will have the same impact on her teachers and friends as she’s had on her on-screen mum over the past four years.

So enamoured was she with Scarlett’s enthusiasm upon their first meeting, her TV mum Eve became ‘broody.’

‘I’m in love with her! I love her so much that I had to get a puppy dog over Christmas,’ she told MSN at the start of their second season together.

‘This child just makes me want to have a baby, but I’m not ready to do that, so I’ve got a dog now!’

She joked: ‘I didn’t call it Nell and I didn’t call it Scarlett, so I’m not too much of a psycho.’
