Today Extra goes off the rails as a puppy poops live on-air: ‘Why is so much coming out?!’

The Today Extra hosts were left in hysterics during Monday’s show when an unexpected ‘call of nature’ happened live on-air.

In a segment promoting ‘puppy yoga’, hosts David Campbell and Sylvia Jeffreys were lying on yoga mats as a group of puppies played about them.

The hosts and crew began laughing when one of the puppies started defecating behind them.

‘We’re dropping a two, we’re dropping a two,’ Campbell announced. 

‘We’ve got a toilet situation,’ screeched Jeffreys, as the tiny pup began pooping on the floor of the studio.

The clip was later to shared to the morning show’s Instagram profile and amused fans sounded off in the comments.

‘Sylvia’s reaction is hilarious!’ wrote one, while another said ‘Live TV is so much fun.’

Celebrity veterinarian Dr Katrina Warren then replied with a witty quip: ‘A crappy situation.’

Married At First Sight’s ‘hottest bride ever’ Evelyn Ellis found it more charming than funny. 

‘Awww so cute,’ she said.

‘I could not stop laughing. All I could think of was the smell of poop,’ wrote someone else.
