Today’s Karl Stefanovic raises eyebrows with X-rated joke about his co-host Allison Langdon ‘loving beaver’
Channel Nine’s family-friendly Today show took an X-rated turn on Wednesday morning after host Karl Stefanovic made a very smutty joke about his co-host Allison ‘Ally’ Langdon.
The eyebrow-raising moment occurred after an interview between Today sports presenter Alex Cullen and footy star Steve Menzies, who is commonly referred to by his nickname ‘Beaver’.
‘I’ve just been told that Ally had a high school crush on you, Steve Menzies,’ Cullen slyly told the NRL superstar.
Stefanovic, 47, could be heard chuckling in the background, while shouting out: ‘Yes, that’s it!’
Popping up on screen, red-faced Langdon, 42, confessed: ‘I don’t know if I’m over that crush, if I’m honest.’
‘I’ve always loved Beaver – he’s the best player and he’s such a gentleman,’ she gushed.

Apparently confused, Cullen replied: ‘Beaver?’
‘It’s his nickname!’ Langdon explained, adding: ‘Anyway, very nice to see you Steve. I’m a little bit flushed!’
Stefanovic exploded a fit of hysterical laughter, squealing: ‘Ally’s always loved Beaver! That’s quite the admission!’

Cullen also began laughing hysterically, barely managing to thank his guests for their interview.
Rolling her eyes, Langdon interjected: ‘Only Karl would go there. Keep it together, gentlemen!”
