‘I knew it was a tough one going in to be honest, I boxed her about six years ago and she beat me,’ she told the BBC.
‘I had to stick to the tactics and bring her on to my shots. She is a really good girl, she has been around for years so I am really pleased with my performance. With the pressure of it being a medal, that was a little bit on as well. I am glad that is out the way now and I can look forward to the next one.
‘It was my dream since eight years of age to get to an Olympic games, I never thought I would get here let alone win a medal. I know I am not finished yet, I have got to go on now and change the colour. I can’t put into words really what it means to me.
‘The whole team is buzzing but it adds a little more pressure when your teammate wins a medal. It is a great buzz in the camp and everyone is cheering each other along.’
