Team GB win silver in the rowing men’s quadruple sculls to secure Great Britain’s first medal of day five at the Tokyo Olympics

Great Britain finally won a medal on the rowing waters on day five of the Olympics as they claimed silver in the men’s quadruple sculls.

Harry Leask, Angus Groom, Tom Barras and Jack Beaumont were unfancied in the difficult lane one but they overcame the odds to finish in the podium spots.

The British quartet were edged out by Holland, who took gold, while Australia finished third.
