Tom Arnold claims Mark Burnett ‘went apesh**t and chocked me’ at the Pre-Emmys party – but producer’s wife claims the actor ‘ambushed’ them and shares pictures of ‘her bruised hand’

Tom Arnold has claimed Mark Burnett ‘went apesh**t and chocked me’ at the Pre-Emmys party on Sunday night.

The actor said the TV producer attacked him and ran away and that he has called police to file a report.

But Burnett’s wife, Roma Downey, said the actor ‘ambushed’ them, leaving her with a bruised hand. 

Arnold tweeted at 5.24am: ‘Mark Burnett just went apes**t & choked me at this huge Emmy party then he ran away with his torn Pink shirt & missing gold chain. I’m waiting for LAPD.’ 

In reply, Downey shared a picture of a bruised hand and tweeted: ‘Got this bruise tonight when Tom Arnold tried to ambush my husband Mark and me at a charity event. Is your TV show worth it Tom?’ 

Arnold replied to her tweet: ‘Bulls**t. You lie your crazy husband attacked me you psycho. I’m filing police report & suing you for defamation.’

Police have not commented on the incident but Arnold’s lawyer confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that a fight took place.
