Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen are ‘living separately’ and are dealing ‘with marital issues’

Celebrity couple Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen are supposedly ‘living separately’ amid marital issue rumors after the football star was absent from an 11-day training camp.

The duo is ‘living separately’ and working through ‘marital issues’ after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers all-star decided to head back to the field after announcing his retirement in February, according to CNN.

Bündchen, 42, fled to her Costa Rica home without Brady, 45, at the beginning of September after having a blow-out argument with her husband amid contention the supermodel was unhappy with his decision to return to the field.

‘Gisele isn’t back with Tom,’ a source told Page Six earlier this week. ‘She flew back to Florida to be with her kids but hasn’t been to their home in Tampa.’

The Brazilian supermodel was also absent for Brady’s opening game over the weekend after exposing her husband ‘lack of attentiveness’ to his family. But a source told People the couple is not ‘over by any means.’

An insider further revealed the football star knows he will have to call it quits after this season ‘if he wants to stay married.’

‘[Bündchen] was so happy when he announced his retirement, and she wasn’t thrilled at all when he went back on that,’ the source explained.

‘They’re hitting a rough patch. But I know they’re trying, or at least trying to figure it out and make it better. He wants to get through this and for things to get better.’

Brady recently spoke on the impact playing for the NFL has had on his personal life during the Tuesday airing of his podcast, ‘Let’s Go!’

‘I haven’t had a Christmas in 23 years, and I haven’t had a Thanksgiving in 23 years, I haven’t celebrated birthdays with people that I care about that are born from August to late January. And I’m not able to be at funerals and I’m not able to be at weddings,’ Brady told his co-host, Jim Gray.

‘I think there comes a point in your life where you say: “You know what? I’ve had my fill, and it’s enough and time to go on, to move into other parts of life.'”

Brady recently took a brief leave of absence from a training camp last month to ‘deal with personal things,’ according to Buccaneer’s coast Todd Bowles.

He later commented that ‘there’s a lot of s*** going on.’

Bündchen spent time at their home in Central America following reports that the duo was fighting over Brady’s sensational decision to rejoin the NFL after a brief retirement.

Brady and Bündchen’s marriage is still on the rocks and Gisele allegedly hasn’t returned to their home in Tampa, Florida.

‘Tom is still hoping they can reconcile. Gisele has told him she’s leaving him before, and they always made up when she cooled down,’ a source told Page Six.

The supermodel apparently despises how her husband entered back into the realm of football after throwing in the towel, according to an insider.

‘She doesn’t hate that he’s playing football, but she sure hates the way he handled the retirement and coming back,’ the insider explained.

‘He knows that, and he’s doing what he can do to smooth things over. He does know that this is his last season if he wants to stay married. He can’t do this again. So now all he can do is make this season count, spend time with his family whenever he can, and then retire at the end of the season.’

The source continued: ‘They decided together that he would retire, and then he decided by himself that he’d come back. She said they’d talk about it more, but then he came back anyway before they had really talked it all through. She’s a very ‘pros vs cons’ person, and she sees very few pros to him playing anymore.’

Another source told People, ‘Going back to Tampa after the retirement put a strain on the personal side of his life. Gisele is frustrated and sick of his career coming before their family, who has always supported him.’

Bündchen is known to show up at her husband’s games with a high-security presence. While she was nowhere to be seen in the stands, she cheered her husband on from a distance in a tweet that said, ‘Let’s go @TomBrady! Let’s go Bucs!’

‘Everyone here knows that there’s tension, but we don’t know how serious it is,’ a source told People while explaining Bündchen has always been present at Brady’s games.

‘We’re just not talking to him about Gisele. It’s not a topic anyone wants to bring up to him.’

Brady might not be ready to close the door on his career yet after claiming the title of a seven-time Super Bowl quarterback champion. He recently said he will take it ‘day by day,’ according to Perez Hilton.

The Brazilian supermodel didn’t hold back on an interview with Elle Magazine and voiced her worries about Brady walking back on his retirement plans.

‘This is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present,’ Bündchen said.

‘I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy too.’

Brady and Bündchen tied the knot in 2009 and share two kids together, Benjamin Rein, 12, and Vivian Lake, 9. Brady also fathers John Edward, 15, with his ex Bridget Moynahan.

Bündchen previously said she had stepped back on her own career to support Brady and her kids.

‘I’ve done my part, which is [to] be there for [Tom],’ she told Elle Magazine. ‘I moved to Boston, and I focused on creating a cocoon and a loving environment for my children to grow up in and to be there supporting him and his dreams.

‘Seeing my children succeed and become the beautiful little humans that they are, seeing him succeed, and being fulfilled in his career — it makes me happy. At this point in my life, I feel like I’ve done a good job on that.’

While Bündchen has spent a chunk of her life dedicated to her family, it’s time she stops putting her career on hold, she shared.

‘I have a huge list of things that I have to do, that I want to do,” she said. “At 42, I feel more connected with my purpose,’ Bündchen said.
