Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and NFL legend Tom Brady enjoyed a round of golf together on the first day of PGA Tour’s Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

The two superstar signal callers were paired together in a group of four, with Brady playing alongside Keegan Bradley and Allen partnered with Keith Mitchell, and were seen fist bumping at one stage of the competition.

This year’s tournament features a $20million purse for the eventual winner.

During the leadup to the event, the PGA revealed the respective handicaps of the amateur stars taking part, some of which may come as a surprise.

A handicap is a numerical score which measures a golfer’s ability and helps to level the playing field between golfers of varying abilities. It conveys the number of strikes a golfer is expected to make above or below par on any particular course.

Brady, for instance, has a handicap of eight. More surprising though is Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ handicap of four, which is dramatically different from 2023, when the four-time NFL MVP won the event with a supposed 10-handicap.

Rodgers and teammate Ben Silverman finished at a whopping 26-under that year to win by a single shot.

Meanwhile, the Bills’ Allen and the retired two-time NBA champion Pau Gasol boast handicaps of nine and 10, respectively.

As for the other pairings, Beau Hossler was playing alongside Rodgers, while Emiliano Grillo teams with Gasol.

A year ago, Allen’s partner Mitchell referred to Rodgers’ 10-handicap as ‘crap.’

‘I think Josh [Allen] and I won. Aaron Rodgers doesn’t count,’ Mitchell said. ‘His handicap was c**p.

‘I haven’t looked. I think we were, on 18 we might have been up there. But if we finish second to Aaron I consider us winning the trophy.’

Also playing among the amateurs is Dr. Neal Elattrache, the surgeon who repaired Rodgers’ ruptured Achilles last year.
