Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski recreate iconic Top Gun shirtless beach scene

While Tom Brady has hung up his cleats at the professional level, he’s apparently not given up football completely as he channeled his inner ‘Maverick’ in a Top Gun-style pickup game. 

The recently retired quarterback was joined by his former New England Patriot teammates Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola and others as they recreated the 2022 Top Gun: Maverick film. 

The NFL stars enjoyed a game of pickup football on the beach in the Bahamas over the weekend and appeared to be living out the now-iconic shirtless beach scene from the Tom Cruise film. 

In a new video shared by Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model and Gronkowski’s longtime girlfriend Camille Kostek, Brady and Co. can be seen running routes and celebrating plays.

Gronkowski even hit the mid-air hip bump celebration that went viral from last year’s blockbuster movie.

Kostek also shared a series of photos to her Instagram of herself soaking up the sun in a tiny blue bikini and Gronkowski humorously posing for the camera in a pair of snorkeling goggles. 

On Tuesday, legendary Patriots and Bucs star Brady had shared pictures of himself in a beach football game, still looking in game-shape as he assumed his usual role of quarterback. 

In one picture, Brady can be seen talking to his son Jack.

But the seven-time Super Bowl winner also had company from his former New England teammates.

Julian Edelman and Wes Welker were seen with drinks in their hand while Rob Gronkowski was humorously captured in goggles in the water.

‘Beach day with the crew,’ he captioned the Instagram post.

Brady retired – for a second time – in February after 23 seasons and an iconic career.

The event was reportedly hosted by the quarterback’s billionaire pal, Jeff Sofer. 

However, a source told Page Six that it ‘wasn’t a retirement party. It was kids and some of the guys playing football on the beach… nothing out of the ordinary.’

Meanwhile, Brady is reportedly ‘dating around’ after his divorce from ex-wife Gisele Bundchen. 

Brady and Bundchen divorced after 13 years of marriage last October – during the football season – amid ongoing suggestions the Brazilian supermodel was unhappy at his ‘unretiring’ last year.

In his statement, Brady, 45, said it had been a ‘difficult’ and ‘painful’ decision that the pair reached after ‘much consideration’ while Gisele, 42, said: ‘To end a marriage is never easy… we have grown apart.’

It had been reported that Bundchen was upset with the seven-time Super Bowl winner’s decision to un-retire last year and issued him an ultimatum forcing him to choose their relationship over his sporting career.

But the model blasted those rumors in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, claiming the speculation was ‘very hurtful’, while insisting that she has only ever ‘wanted all his dreams to come true’.
