Tom Brady announces he will be replaced by Bill Belichick in media role for 2024 NFL season

Tom Brady has revealed that Bill Belichick will take on one of his media duties as he gets ready for his debut in the booth for Fox Sports ahead of the NFL season.

The 47-year-old, seven-time Super Bowl champion has lined up his former mentor to replace him on the ‘Lets Go’ podcast, according to several reports on Tuesday.

Brady, who won six of his seven NFL championships under Belichick on the Patriots, co-hosted the SiriusXM program alongside former commentator Jim Gray and Larry Fitzgerald, a retired 11-time Pro Bowler and wideout who played 17 seasons on the Arizona Cardinals (2004-2020).

Brady and Belichick shared a statement in which they explained that it was none other than the former quarterback who recommended his old Patriots coach for the role.

‘For 20 years, I threw the ball for Coach Belichick,’ Brady said. ‘Now I am passing the microphone to him on ”Let’s Go!”

‘I will be listening every week as I know Bill and Jim will have lots of great conversations, and I’m looking forward to my guest appearances and joining them during the season.’

‘I thank Tom for recommending me. When the opportunity was presented by Jim, I said, Let’s Go,’ Belichick said.

‘When people say, ”Let’s Go!” it conveys a sense of camaraderie and teamwork that all involved share the same goals and excitement. And that’s exactly how I feel to be joining the ”Lets Go” team at SiriusXM.’

Joining the ‘Lets Go!’ podcast for Belichick’s first episode will be Las Vegas Raiders star, Maxx Crosby, who recently posed for snaps with former US President Donald Trump, on September 2nd.
