Tom Brady celebrates 47th birthday by surfing on vacation with Michael Rubin and family as NFL legend hits the waves in Sardinia

Tom Brady rang in his 47th birthday on a yacht in the Mediterranean with his billionaire pal, Fanatics founder Michael Rubin.

In photos obtained exclusively by Mail Sport, the seven-time Super Bowl champ was seen surfing off the coast of Sardinia on Friday.

Brady went shirtless while trying his hand at the water sport, rocking a pair of black shorts and a matching life jacket.

After wiping out a couple of times, he returned to the luxurious yacht, where he was seen wearing a white baseball cap and a gold chain around his neck.

The father-of-three was also joined by his kids: 16-year-old son, Jack, whom he shares ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan; and his kids Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11, whom he welcomed with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen.

Rubin was also joined by his family and several pals, who were seen relaxing on the megayacht.

Shortly after the birthday celebration, Brady jetted to nearby France, where he was spotted at several Paris Olympics events.

He watched Novak Djokovic’s gold medal-winning tennis match, before heading to the beach volleyball with his daughter, Vivian.

Earlier in the week, he paid tribute to his kids while showing off his ripped body in a shirtless selfie.

‘The lost files from 46! What a special year with these beautiful kids, the best family and friends anyone could ask for, and all of you! Here’s to making 47 our best year yet…’ Brady captioned his birthday post on Instagram on Saturday.

He added in a warning to his 14.9million followers, jokingly writing, ‘Also, you get to post a selfie on your birthday, everyone chill out.’

Brady is clearly enjoying his post-retirement life, and previously admitted he regrets taking football ‘too seriously’ compared to other quarterbacks, namely 28-year-old Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes.

‘When I see these young players, I see like Patrick [Mahomes] out there at quarterback, running around, laughing, having fun, I’m like, “I used to be like that. What the hell happened?” Brady said with a laugh on a podcast last month.

‘I just got too serious, but, again, I can only look back and think, “Okay, if I do it again, which I’ll never do it again, I would be different.” But the reality is, you can’t.’

Although he isn’t planning on un-retiring again, Brady said he’s taking that mentality to his second career in the broadcast booth.

‘So you learn from it. Now, next phase of life, enjoy it a little more,’ he explained.
