Not one of Tom Brady’s six Super Bowl victories for the New England Patriots could qualify for his ‘greatest football memory.’
The legendary quarterback played in Foxborough for 20 seasons and built much of his legacy during his winning years with the Pats. However, none of his superhuman highlights or trophy lifts could top one experience as a football player.
In a new clip from Brady’s Last Week podcast, he revealed that his ‘greatest football memory’ was seeing his oldest son Jack after sinking the Green Bay Packers in the 2021 NFC Championship to advance to the Super Bowl.
‘When [Jack] came down and gave me a hug, that was probably one of the greatest days of my life,’ Brady said in the clip, published on Friday, Nov. 8.
The scene then played, showing Brady headed to the sidelines to ask security, ‘Can I say ‘Hi’ to my son?’ Jack quickly came down to hug his dad.
Tom Brady did not pick any of his highlights with the Patriots as his ‘greatest football memory’
‘How about that? We’re gonna go to the Super Bowl,’ he told Jack, who was 15 then. ‘What do you think? I love you, man. Way to go. I’ll see you. I’ll call you a little bit later.’
‘Alright, love you,’ replied Jack, with Brady adding, ‘Love you, kiddo.’
The Buccaneers beat a young Kansas City Chiefs team, 31-9, in the championship game, as Brady went head-to-head with then-rising star Patrick Mahomes.
Brady initially retired in 2022 before retracting his statement and returning to Tampa Bay for another season. He then retired ‘for good’ in February 2023.
Since hanging up his cleats, Brady signed a 10-year, $375million deal to be FOX’s lead NFL analyst.
The Patriots Hall of Famer also recently became a part owner of the Las Vegas Raiders after a long hold on his bid for a slice of the franchise.
