The team holds an 18-8 record and 4-2 in the Pac 12. Maya and her squad are ranked 14th nationally and will host Oregon at home for their next series.

Now in her fifth year playing for the University, Maya has eight home runs so far this season after a career-high 18 in 2023.

Having won the Pac-12 championship in 2021 and 2023, UCLA looks to be the first to win consecutive titles since Oregon’s four-peat from 2013-2016. UCLA has not won a national title in softball since 2019.

In a 2021 interview with The Athletic, Maya expressed trying her best to represent the same name as the seven-time Super Bowl champion well.
