Tom Brady will have to ditch his commerical agreement with BetMGM as soon as the NFL approves his minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders.

The retired quarterback last year agreed a deal to become a part-owner in the franchise.

Brady is still awaiting ratification from the NFL and once the deal is given the green light, he will have to cut ties with the self-professed ‘King of Sportsbooks’.

‘NFL personnel are prohibited from engaging in, using or permitting the use of one’s name or images in connection with activities or materials that depict, advertise, market or promote any form of gambling, including sports betting,’ the league told NBC.

Brady starred in a BetMGM Super Bowl commerical alongside Vince Vaughn and Wayne Gretzky. His face was also plastered on ads along the Las Vegas Strip ahead of the big game.

Brady can still reportedly own up to five percent of BetMGM – or any other company that operates a sports book – even after he officially joins the Raiders ownership.

Earlier this week, meanwhile, the 46-year-old led the tributes to Matthew Slater after the Patriots captain announced his retirement from the NFL.

‘The best teammate and an even better man. Congratulations on the perfect career,’ Brady said on Instagram.

Slater spent all 16 years of his professional career in New England playing under Bill Belichick. He was a three-time Super Bowl champion alongside Brady.
