At the time of his medical emergency, Tom was taking part in a celebrity golf tournament as a part of this year’s Ryder Cup, and had been playing with former NHL star Teemu Selänne, 1980 US Olympic hockey team captain Mike Eurzione, and retired speed skater Dan Jansen.

Singer Derek Pitts took to Instagram Friday to give an update on the condition of his famous friend, posting a picture of Tom smiling in the sunshine and looking remarkably healthy after his health scare at the tournament.

‘He’s okay ❤ speedy recovery brother,’ the caption read.

The actor – who rose to fame as Draco Malfoy in the beloved Harry Potter fantasy films – drew gasps from spectators at the Wisconsin event when he suddenly collapsed and was stretchered off the course at the 18th hole.

Tom was subsequently carried off on a stretcher and carted off on the back of a buggy to receive medical attention – leaving fans rightfully concerned and desperate for an update on the star’s condition.

These concerns were put somewhat at ease after Derek’s post Friday morning, with one thankful supporter welcoming the good news, gushing on Twitter: ‘I’m so so so happy now ❤ thank god ❤.’

The image quickly spread across social media, thanks to several fan accounts dedicated to the popular actor.

Felton’s frightening fall came while he was representing Europe in a six-a-side celebrity golf tournament at the Ryder Cup – which has become a popular preamble for the true tournament, where professional golfers duke it out every two years, either in the US or UK.

Onlookers gave the actor a warm round of applause when he was carted off the course Thursday to receive further treatment – the day after his 34th birthday.

Following the incident, the PGA of America disclosed that Felton had experienced a ‘medical incident’ and was sent to a ‘local hospital for treatment.’

Prior to his sudden collapse, the star had proven to be a fan-favorite and a natural on the green, opening the tournament with an excellent first drive.
