Tom Hollander, 56, makes rare appearance with fiancée Fran Hickman, 40, at the Ashi show in Paris after welcoming their first child

Tom Hollander made a rare appearance with his fiancée Fran Hickman as they attended the Ashi show during Paris’ Haute Couture Fashion Week on Thursday.

The star of The Night Manager, 56, opted for a suave grey look while posing for snaps with his interior designer bride-to-be, 40, after the couple recently welcomed their first child together.

Francesca, who works as an interior designer, matched Tom in a smart grey blazer and a black frilled dress.

In August 2023 it was revealed that Tom was set to become a father for the first time at the age of 56.

The Mail On Sunday reported at the time that he was ‘beyond thrilled’ to be expecting his first child with Fran, after the couple rekindled their romance during lockdown.

Their news comes after they got back together during lockdown, ten years after they called off their engagement in 2010.

At the time their baby news was revealed, Tom and Fran were seen enjoying lunch near his home in Notting Hill, West London.

Fran was dressed in a checked shirt, leggings and a pair of white plimsolls, and her bump was clearly visible.

One onlooker said: ‘They looked very much like the happy couple. Tom was seen putting his arms around Fran quite a lot.’

In September, Tom appeared to be taking fatherhood in his stride, as he was pictured with his new baby for the first time while heading out for lunch.

Fran moved into Tom’s £2million flat during the pandemic and friends say ‘she never left’.

In 2021 Tom, whose 5ft 4in height earned him the nickname ‘sex thimble’, was seen having dinner with Fran at Mayfair restaurant Scott’s.

Tom, who has branded himself a ‘lazy actor’ in the past, had previously spoken about wanting children.

In a 2011 interview, he admitted: ‘I’d love to be a dad, it’s just that I’ve not managed to sort it out.’

Asked whether he was keen to settle down, he added: ‘Yes, of course. And I do occasionally think, ‘How have I managed not to settle down when I came from such a settled-down family?’

During his time apart from Fran, Mr Hollander dated film-maker Jemima Goldsmith in 2013, but that ended and she later dated comedian Russell Brand.

And in the early 2000s he had a relationship with fashion designer and former model Daphne Guinness – the daughter of peer and businessman Jonathan Guinness.

Tom gave a candid insight into his life in 2020, when an article he wrote for The Sunday Times went viral, just after he and Fran got back together.

He was lauded for his honest confessions, including night trips to the loo. He wrote: ‘I wake at 3 or 4am. Not because I’m like Mrs Thatcher, but because I need to pee. I pee in the darkness using my phone screen to illuminate the target.’
