The top 10 cheapest places to get a Michelin Star Christmas dinner on 25th December in the UK have been revealed, according to new research from events company Eventopedia.
Those thinking of splashing out on something special for the festive season this year will be delighted to know they can enjoy their Christmas dinner in a Michelin Star restaurant for as little as £95.
There are 187 Michelin Star restaurants in the UK, of which 23 will specifically serve Christmas dinner.
The research was conducted by contacting 187 restaurants, browsing their menus and attempting to reserve dinner on 25th December.
The cheapest Christmas dinner sits at just £95 from The Woodspeen, with three three UK Michelin star restaurants offering a festive feast under £101.
The Angler (pictured), in London, boasts one Michelin star and ranked third in the top 10 list – with an impressive Christmas dinner for £100
Those wanting Christmas dinner at The Woodspeen can expect a traditional turkey with trimmings but starters of pressed rabbit terrine and confit salmon with smoked black garlic, celeriac and horseradish remoulade.
Other fancier Christmas day dishes include venison rossini (venison served over foie gras), salmon coulibiac (puff pastry filled with salmon, boiled eggs, rice or buckwheat, mushrooms and onions), fillet of turbot and exotic fruit raviole with coconut and kaffir lime.
On the other side of the spectrum, the most expensive Michelin Star restaurant to enjoy a festive meal this year is the one star Pétrus, with their Christmas dinner sitting at £325.
The cheapest three star Michelin restaurant is Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, with a dinner of £295.
Toby Heelis, CEO of Eventopedia commented. ‘Christmas is a time which many associate with decadence, but it doesn’t have to always come with a price tag.
‘If you consider that the majority of standard restaurants in the UK will charge an average of £50 for Christmas dinner this year, spending a little extra for something special on Christmas day is well worth the quality.’
