Topshop on Oxford Street has been evacuated just a day after a fight in a nearby Tube station sparked mass panic at the tourist hotspot.
Witnesses described a ‘crazy stampede’ as shoppers were ordered over loudspeakers to ‘drop [their] stuff and leave’ the store.
Some Twitter users suggested that the incident had been part of a fire drill.
Michael McAuliffe wrote on the social network: ‘Topshop, Oxford Street evacuation a day after the panic we had last evening! All the people is on the street!’
Another shopper added: ‘Getting evacuated from Topshop on Oxford Street. Crazy stampede. WHY DO WE HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THIS.’

‘I left the area straight away. We were told it was probably nothing to worry about but to drop our stuff and leave.’
It comes just a day after panic erupted in Oxford Circus station, which is directly below the store.
Armed police raced to Oxford Circus Tube station and Oxford Street last night after receiving 999 calls reporting that shots had been fired.
British Transport Police said that incident is believed to have started when an altercation erupted between two men on the platform.
The force said today that two men, aged 21 and 40, attended a police station voluntarily and were interviewed, following an appeal.
Chief Superintendent Martin Fry said: ‘I would like to thank the public and the media for assisting us with this witness appeal.’
