Torrensville stabbing: Woman knifed and man charged in Adelaide

Police have charged a man for assault after he allegedly stabbed a woman in the stomach during a domestic violence incident in South Australia.  

Emergency services rushed to Henley Beach Road in Torrensville, Adelaide, just after 9.30pm on Saturday following reports a woman was stabbed. 

A 44-year-old woman from Brooklyn Park was found at the scene with a stab wound to her torso and was taken to hospital for her injuries. 

‘Her injuries are not considered life-threatening at this time,’ police said.

A 40-year-old man was arrested nearby after police searched the area for the alleged attacker.  

Police said the altercation was not random as the pair are known to each other. 

The 40-year-old man has since been charged with assault causing harm and was refused bail.

He will appear at Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday.
