Tottenham fans have slammed travel company Thomas Cook because they have still not received their travel information just two days before the Champions League final against Liverpool.

However, they failed to arrive and fans have now taken to social media to demand answers as the game in the Spanish capital fast approaches.

THOMAS COOK FINANCIAL PRESSURE

Thomas Cook reported a £1.5bn loss for the first half of 2019.

The firm is looking to sell the airline and has received ‘multiple’ bids for its planes.

The company has closed 21 of its stores and Thomas Cook Money is under review.

More of its 566 stores could close and 150 roles will be cut from its Peterborough head office.

Thomas Cook Sport came to the rescue amid scandalous air fares and organised flights for fans at a cost in the region of £559 per person.

The company were forced to close applications for the package early because of the huge number of fans trying to secure flights.

@DaveNorton5 wrote: ‘@thomascook what is going on? Booked with you for Madrid with @Spurs from Stansted. Still heard nothing. Do I need to panic/arrange something else?’

@Revill82 added: ‘So @thomascooksport it’s now Wednesday and customers were informed we receive flight times today BEFORE 18:00. Guess what? No flight times for a match which kicks off in three days time. You are losing customers.’

That sentiment was shared by @benlawrence8. He tweeted: ‘It is less than 48 hours before I am due to travel and I don’t know my itinerary. This is not good enough. These flights better be what was promised cause if they’re not there’s no way to remedy it at this late stage is there!’.

@Wadz73 penned: ‘6 o’clock comes and goes for details about out flights to Madrid!!! If you can’t give us anything definitive at least have the courtesy to let us know what the situation is!!!!!’.

A statement from Thomas Cook to supporters on Wednesday night said: ‘We hope you are looking forward to your trip to Madrid.

‘We are working hard to get everything finalised for the Champions League Final flights and will be sending itineraries over in the next 24 hours.

‘Due to the huge increase in flights from the UK to Madrid this weekend, it has been extremely difficult and taken a bit longer than expected for the airports to coordinate the slots and aircraft handling.

‘However, the first set of itineraries will be sent shortly. If you are not in receipt of an itinerary this evening, please keep checking your email account throughout tomorrow.

‘We apologise for any inconvenience this delay has caused to you and your fellow supporters and appreciate your patience while we finalise our operation and get you on your way to Madrid.’

It is the second transportation gaffe from Thomas Cook in as many days as Chelsea fans were stuck at Luton Airport with lengthy flight delays halting their travel to Baku for the Europa League final on Wednesday.

The two flights from Luton departed at 10am UK time after a two-hour delay.
