Mourinho is under huge pressure in north London after a frustrating season that has left Spurs six points off the Champions League places and saw them dumped out of the Europa League in humiliating fashion at Dinamo Zagreb.
Sarri is without a club after being sacked by Juventus and reports in Italy this week claimed he was in the frame to take over at Spurs. Now La Gazzetta dello Sport say the Premier League side want to hold talks over the possibility of hiring him.

Spurs chief Daniel Levy is said to be considering whether or not to part ways with Mourinho
The Italian outlet claims talks between the club and Sarri could take place in London as early as next week with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy weighing up his options for the managerial hot seat.
It is also reported that Tottenham were initially interested in hiring Sarri in the summer of 2018, when he left Napoli to take over at Stamford Bridge.
Sarri, 62, is said to be aware of Tottenham’s interest as he ponders a return to management.
Roma are also said to be interested in Sarri’s services, while a move back to Napoli has been talked of with Gennaro Gattuso’s job at risk.
