Tottenham are targeting a summer move for Brighton right back Tariq Lamptey.
Serge Aurier is expected to leave Spurs with a return to Paris Saint-Germain most likely and funds from his sale will be put towards a bid for Brighton’s England U21 international.
Lamptey signed a contract extension in January until 2025 but missed the second half of last season with a hamstring injury.

However, his performances under Graham Potter since his arrival from Chelsea have alerted top clubs across Europe.
Brighton are already discussing the £50m sale of Ben White to Arsenal and will be reluctant to sell Lamptey for much less.
The England U21 starlet made just 11 appearances for Brighton this season and has not played for his club since mid-December, when Potter’s side played out a goalless draw with Fulham.

That will test Spurs’ commitment to backing new boss Paulo Fonseca.
Fonseca is soon set to be announced by the club, and is hopeful of having a solid framework in place to go about his business of rejuvenating the north London club.
Spurs learned on Wednesday that they would be starting the new season with a home clash with Manchester City, after the Premier League fixtures were announced.
The opening day visit of City could be a contentious one, however, with Pep Guardiola’s side currently frontrunners in the race to sign wantaway star Harry Kane this summer.
