TOWIE star confirms they will be returning to the reality show after teasing exit

The Only Way Is Essex star Junaid Ahmed may have previously teased his exit from the show, but it looks like he’s not going anywhere just yet.

Junaid said back in September during an Instagram Q&A that he’d be up for ‘another series or two’ of the reality TV show ‘and then focus on other stuff’.

However, he’s now said he’s ‘not planning on leaving anytime soon.’

The reality TV star told The Sun this series has ‘been mental’ but said ‘it’s been nice to end it on a high.’

The cast are set to return to filming in January, Junaid confirmed, and are currently on a bit of a break.

The 28-year-old said: ‘I’m going back, we’ve got another two series. I love TOWIE, it’s amazing but don’t get me wrong it has its dramatic moments especially for me, more so than anyone.

‘But I love it, I’m not planning on leaving anytime soon.’

Despite planning on sticking around on TOWIE, Junaid said he’s also setting his sights on Celebrity Big Brother next year, as well as Celebs Go Dating.

His latest comments come after he spoke about whether he sees himself on TOWIE for a long time back in September.

An Instagram follower asked during a Q&A: ‘Do you see yourself on TOWIE for a long time? Have you got other stuff coming up?’

Junaid responded, ‘Definitely not! I love TOWIE but I’d probably do another series or two and then focus on other stuff,’ The Sun reported.

He continued: ‘I’ve got some very exciting projects coming up. I would never want to be someone on the show that’s on it for like 10 years and rely on the show.

‘It’s a great platform but I’ve got to spread my wings honey.’

Series 32 of TOWIE was as eventful as ever, with Junaid being caught up in a huge row with Harry Derbidge as the season kicked off back in September in Paphos, Cyprus.

Things got very heated as the outspoken duo were seen at a bar discussing the feud between Ella Raw Wise and Dani Imbert, which they were caught up in.

Harry, 29, and pal Junaid had a short romance back in April before the pair decided they were better off as friends.
