Tracy Grimshaw issues a rare public statement after sparking concern with a string of alarming Instagram posts
Tracy Grimshaw has warned her fans to be careful after scammers used her name to promote and sell diet pills.
On Thursday, the 63-year-old shared photos to Instagram of the fake campaign which featured images of her.
‘A friend just told me about this dodgy gummies ad. Please don’t be taken in by it, it’s a scam,’ she wrote.
The post included a photoshopped photo of Tracy holding the ‘keto gummies’ and smiling.
The ad also included a fake quote from the TV presenter, which read: ‘I didn’t even expect that losing weight will raise so many questions for you – you just filled my inbox with messages! Instead of answering each message individually, I decided to write a post on this topic.’

The veteran reporter reportedly knocked back two of the most coveted journalism awards this year, because she ‘wants to avoid the media circus’ that comes with high-profile award ceremonies.
She initially accepted lifetime achievement awards from both the Melbourne Press Club, but later changed her mind due to the ‘hoopla surrounding her receiving the award.’

She is said to have turned down another lifetime award from the Sydney-based Kennedy Awards for the same reason.
‘Tracy’s a no-nonsense person who doesn’t like all the fuss,’ a Nine insider told The Australian’s Media Diary.
‘She’s having the first gap year in her career, and she’s really enjoying the chance to step away from the media circus.’

Tracy is fiercely private about her personal life and enjoys her solitude living alone on a sprawling farm estate in rural NSW.
A previous report by New Idea magazine claimed Grimshaw suffers from crippling ‘shyness’ and finds solitude ‘less daunting’.
‘Tracy has battled shyness her entire career… she is so introverted it actually affects her daily life,’ a source told the magazine in 2016.
‘The person you see on TV is not the same person you would meet on the street,’ they said of Grimshaw, who is known to exude confidence in her role on A Current Affair.’
