‘I hear them spewing their arrogance and privilege!’ Transgender Wentworth actress Daniielle Alexis, 31, SLAMS ‘cisgender, heterosexual males’
She’s the trailblazing transgender actress who hit the big time starring in revamped prison drama series, Wentworth.
And on the Beneath The Surface podcast this month, Daniielle Alexis slammed ‘cisgender, heterosexual males’ for their arrogance.
The 31-year-old urged them to be more considerate of those who are still struggling with their identity.

Daniielle was speaking in regards to cisgender, heterosexual males who ask for trans people to not ‘harp on’ about acceptance in the wider community.
A cisgender person is someone whose gender identity matches their sex assigned at birth.
‘When I hear, especially cisgender, heterosexual males, just spewing their arrogance and privilege on (I get frustrated),’ Daniielle began.
‘(They think trans people) want more, they’re asking for more acceptance and bloody rainbows and more trans people on TV,’ she explained of their opinion.

‘It’s like bro, be humble,’ Daniielle urged of cisgender, heterosexual males. ‘Just realise that you’re cool and you’ve got your s**t together, but not everyone else does.’
The actress added that it’s important to just be ‘kind’ and ‘try and understand other people,’ especially when suicide rates are so high.
Daniielle rose to fame after having debuted as Dana Malouf in season five of Foxtel’s prison drama Wentworth.
In November last year, the brunette announced she had signed to talent management company ATN Entertainment.

Daniielle is the first Australian-born transgender woman to be signed to an acting management company in Hollywood.
‘It’s a huge achievement what I’m doing over there,’ Daniielle told Perth Now at the time, of making a name for herself in Hollywood.
Daniielle, who transitioned at age 19, but publicly came out to the world years later, revealed Caitlyn Jenner and Laverne Cox to be her role models.
‘They were actually the two reasons that gave me the strength to come out in my own country and start my own legacy,’ she said.
