Trinny recently filed blockbuster accounts for her beauty brand Trinny London, with turnover soaring to more than £50million.

Unlike Victoria Beckham and Stella McCartney, who both filed reports detailing losses in recent weeks, the former TV presenter’s six-year-old business appears to be in rude health.

According to documents filed at Companies House, the cosmetics company clocked up £27.3million of sales in the UK, £6.3million in Europe and £16.9million in the rest of the world.

But despite the enviable headline news, just £45,520 of net profit is recorded for the financial year, as the company records ‘administrative expenses’ of £30million.

That means the business owes just £810,000 in tax for the year up to March 2022.

The company was set up by Trinny in 2017 with £7million of investment: some from her wealthy art collector boyfriend Charles Saatchi, plus £60,000 she raised herself by selling off her old clothes.

Earlier this week, Trinny appeared on This Morning where she discussed starting the brand at the ‘worst time’ to launch a business.

Speaking to Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield on Thursday, Trinny explained that she had thought about starting Trinny London for a long time but stopped herself because of a series of difficult circumstances.

‘I started it at the worst time, when my daughter’s father had died, I was living in a house that was too expensive for me, I couldn’t afford the mortgage, and yet sometimes you have to say to yourself, “It’s now or never”.

The father of her daughter, Johnny Elichaoff, fell to his death from a car park roof in November 2014 after he ‘lost everything’ in a series of failed oil investments, an inquest heard.

Johnny, 55, who had battled an addiction to painkillers for 20 years, died at the Whiteley’s shopping centre in Bayswater, west London.

The drummer turned businessman had been talked down from the same spot 11 days previously and was sectioned briefly.

Mr Elichaoff married TV presenter Miss Woodall in 1999 in London’s Knightsbridge and the couple had a child Lyla, 11, together, before they divorced in 2009, but remained on good terms.

Miss Woodall, who is now dating art dealer Charles Saatchi, told the inquest Mr Elichaoff ‘had a heart attack in his head. He no longer felt he had the strength to deal with his physical and emotional pain’.

But now the business is booming and she leads the way for over 200 staff members under the brand.

‘It’s a journey to start a business and I started with one other person, then two other people, then now we have 220 people, we sell in 200 countries around the world.’

She added: ‘The company was born out of making over women for so long – how can I help more women feel great, and makeup is a part of that.’
