An 800-acre tropical island in the Pacific Ocean with sandy beaches and stunning greenery has gone on sale for £7.7million.
Lataro Island, which lies off the coast of Vanuatu in the south Pacific, features luxury accommodation and wildlife including owls, eagles, parrots and the endangered coconut crab.
Some 90 per cent of the island is a conservation reserve, with almost four miles of coral reef surrounding it in the immaculate blue ocean.
The owner’s residence is made up of four separate buildings connected by covered walkways. It includes a kitchen, bar and dining area as well as a sun lounge area and swimming pool.

There is also a large two bedroom guesthouse, a self-contained caretaker’s house, separate staff accommodation for up to eighteen people and a huge maintenance shed.
Many of the buildings are constructed in the Balinese style with plenty of exposed timber and dark tinted glass.
The island’s listing says: ‘Old growth rainforests, together with a wonderful array of flora and fauna has lain undisturbed for thousands of years.
‘The sea surrounding the island is the ultimate playground for game fishing, diving, yachting, everything aquatic and there are several safe moorings for boats up to around 60 feet off the front of the property.
‘A great super yacht anchorage is in the bay opposite and is visible from the property but don’t expect to see many boats as they are few and far between.’
The island is around 25 miles from Million Dollar Point, where the U.S. dumped a trove of military equipment in the ocean after World War II.
