Huge blankets of black smoke can be seen and one witness reportedly said there was a ‘huge fireball’ with cars ‘all over the road’.
It is believed the driver may have been involved in a police chase after stealing the truck from a BP service station in Murrurundi early Wednesday morning while the owner was paying for fuel, according to The Singleton Argus.
The truck was full of mushroom compost and was bound for Tamworth.
