A high-ranking figure in the Democratic National Committee called CPAC a ‘gathering of sexual predators’ and slammed former President Donald Trump as a ‘serial rapist.’
Lindy Li, the Women’s Co-Chair and Mid-Atlantic Regional Chair at the DNC, made the comments when recapping the Conservative Political Action Conference Saturday.
Speaking to host Yasmin Vossoughian, Li began the segment fighting back against what she saw as conservatives like Nikki Haley, a 2024 presidential candidate, calling the Democrats ‘woke.’
‘Let’s be clear what anti-woke means. It’s anti-black,’ Li, who served on the Asian American outreach team for President Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign, said.
‘And I think people are very reluctant to say it, but I don’t mince any words, and that’s the truth. That’s their way of, you know, sounding the dog whistle without being extremely explicit,’ she added.

Li also called Haley, the former ambassador to the United Nations and Governor of South Carolina, ‘cringeworthy’ and a ‘total sell-out’
She then went after what she felt were the faults of the Republicans speaking at the annual conservative conference.
Li then gave her summary of the annual event put on by the ACU.
‘Let’s also not ignore the fact that CPAC has become a gathering of sexual predators. Let’s be honest,’ Li said, referencing the investigation into Representative Matt Gaetz – which did not lead to charges – and accusations of inappropriate behavior by Representative Jim Jordan and organizer Matt Schlapp.
She then went further into a tirade, referring to Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene as an ‘adulteress’ and complaining that Representative Lauren Boebert ‘brags about carrying a Glock.’
Finally, she said: ‘Tonight, we have Trump, a serial rapist.’
After spending about four seconds in stunned silence, Vossoughian gathered her thoughts and pointed out that ‘they’ve all been accusations so far’ as none of the claims have been proven.
‘It’s important to put out there, we, we understand the accusations that have been made against, of course, the former president, Lindy. And of course, I understand your passion in this topic as well. But I want to be clear, of course, that that — none of that has actually rung true as of yet.’

In a tweet after the appearance, she made even further allegations.
‘CPAC speaker Lauren Boebert twice prayed for Biden to die; CPAC speaker Matt Gaetz trafficked girls; CPAC speaker Jim Jordan hid sex crimes; CPAC speaker Trump terrorized our Capitol; CPAC Chair Matt Schlapp groped a man’s genitals; CPAC is the Hall of Fame of Hard A** Criminals,’ she wrote.
She also referred to Boebert as ‘bobo the clown’ in another tweet and called her and the audience members cheering her on ‘equally repulsive.’
Li is a noted center-left firebrand and has caused outrage with her comments in the past on both sides.
She was forced to resign as the Treasurer for the Pennsylvania Young Democrats over comments critical of Biden rival and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.
Li at one point claimed she would not have voted for Sanders had he been the nominee in 2020, saying she was ‘equally terrified and traumatized by the prospect of a Sanders presidency.’

At least 26 women have accused former President Trump of unwanted sexual touching, according to the book All the President’s Women: Donald Trump and the Making of a Predator.
His campaign was almost derailed in 2020 when a tape leaked of him telling Access Hollywood star Billy Bush of saying that grabs women ‘by the p***y.’
Trump decried it as ‘locker room talk’ and has denied all accusations of sexual assault and harassment.
Famed columnist E. Jean Carroll is currently suing the president for defamation for claims he made publicly about her after she came forward with her allegations that Trump raped her in the fitting room of Manhattan department store Bergdorf-Goodman in the mid-1990s.
Trump said the encounter with Carroll in the upscale Manhattan department store never happened. She says that the pair’s interaction began as she helped him to pick out lingerie for a friend.
