Trump reveals one of the biggest campaign issues he says will cost Kamala Harris the election

Donald Trump says that there is one major issue besides immigration and the economy that could sink Kamala Harris’ chances of election.

The White House response to Hurricanes Helene and Milton have been slammed as lackluster by critics who say not enough is being done to help Americans hit hardest by the devastating storms – and Trump says this could be the October surprise that hurts Democrats.

Meanwhile, the former president has pushed claims that President Joe Biden and VP Harris aren’t responding adequately because North Carolina, Florida and Georgia are all red or red-leaning states.

‘The other issue that’s really big, I think, is how badly they’ve done with North Carolina, parts of Georgia, when you look at what’s happened and Florida, we all see what’s happening there,’ Trump told Fox host Maria Bartiromo on Sunday.

Former President Donald Trump said that Kamala Harris’ response to Hurricanes Milton and Helene could sink her chances in the 2024 election

‘I think we got a little bit lucky in the sense that it was bad, but it wasn’t as bad as they thought. And a lot of governors have done a good job.’ he continued: ‘But the response from the White House has been absolutely terrible.’

‘[Harris’] response has been terrible,’ Trump said. ‘So bad that they didn’t even want – I see [Gov.] Ron [DeSantis] didn’t want her in Florida: ‘Just don’t even come here.’

Trump and his allies have claimed that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is only giving $750 to families who need relief and has sparked fear in residents that if they accept aid the government can take ownership of their homes.

The White House has repeatedly said this is disinformation and has called on Trump to correct himself publicly.

While campaigning during a church service at Koinonia Christian Center in Greenville, North Carolina on Sunday, the vice president called out the information Trump is spreading about the storm response.

‘Sadly, frankly, the motives are quite transparent — to gain some advantage for themselves, to play politics with other people’s heartbreak,’ she alleged.

And President Biden ended a briefing on the response to Hurricane Milton on Thursday awkwardly with an attack against his predecessor.

The president told Trump to ‘get a life’ as he spent the quick update slamming the former president and his allies for spreading disinformation about the federal government’s response to the concurrent storms.

As the president wrapped up the briefing, he was asked if he had spoken with Trump.

‘Are you kidding me?’ the 81-year-old chuckled.

‘Mr. President Trump, former President Trump – get a life man, help these people,’ he said in a message straight to camera.

Bartiromo asked during an interview with Trump on Sunday Morning Futures: ‘We’re just a few weeks away, what, 20 plus days away, from the election. How do you feel about the race?’

‘I feel great,’ Trump replied. ‘We’re leading in all swing states, we’re leading mostly in nationals, I think. You know, I’m a believer in polls, some of them are fake.”And she can’t talk – there’s something wrong with a candidate, but I’ll take it,’ he said of his Democratic competitor. ‘But we have – I think we’re doing very well. Yeah.’
