Trump urged to let off a ‘gassy stink bomb’ at Davos

President Donald Trump will rub elbows with global elites when he travels to Davos, but some of his advisors are claiming he’ll be there to unload on the global trade and regulatory system that gets celebrated there.

Trump plans to bring his ‘America First’ agenda to the World Economic Forum at Davos, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said.

It remains to be seen how confrontational Trump plans to be in his rhetoric. One advisor said it would be a ‘Nikki Haley at the UN’ moment, Politico reported, referencing Haley’s admonition for critics to fall in line.

President Trump is planning to bring some tough love to the billionaires and execs who head to the Swiss Alps for the annual World Economic Forum in Davos

Facing some blowback among the president’s base, officials told the publication Trump would unleash a ‘gassy stink bomb’ there.

The theme for this year’s conference speaks to the globalist inclination of attendees, who this year will include CEOs, financiers, and industry titans.

This year’s theme is “Creating a Shared Future in a Fractured World,” which speaks to the globalist impulses at Davos. The forum’s board of directors includes Al Gore, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, and the head of the International Montetery Fund, Christine Lagarde.

Not everyone at the event will be a natural adversary to Trump. Among the attendees who are familiar with Trump Tower are Jack Ma, Executive Chairman, Alibaba Group, and former secretary of state Henry Kissinger.

Word of Trump’s attendance comes just days after his break with former chief strategist Steve Bannon.

Bannon in a 2014 speech said the ‘working men and women in the world [are] just tired of being dictated to by what we call the party of Davos,’ the New Republic noted.

Trump’s Bannon-inspired final ad of the election campaign used a clip of Soros at the forum and decried the ‘global power structure.’

‘The president welcomes opportunities to advance his America First agenda with world leaders,’ White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said following news he would be the first U.S. president to attend in 20 years.

‘At this year’s World Economic Forum, the president looks forward to promoting his policies to strengthen American businesses, American industries and American workers,’ she said.
