She’s three months away from her due date, but Turia Pitt is getting a head start in learning how to be a parent.
The inspirational burns survivor revealed on an Instagram story that she has mastered her new baby wrap carrier.
Turia, who is expecting her first child in early December, practised wrapping a baby to her body with the help of a substitute stuffed green monkey.

Turia, 30, also shared a touching tribute to her fiance Michael Hoskin on Sunday in honour of Father’s Day, writing in the caption: ‘Almost mate, almost’
She snuggled the toy to her chest with a blue and white tie-dye wrap from Chekoh Baby, a popular newborn carrier brand that uses all natural materials.
Turia, 30, also shared a touching tribute to her fiance Michael Hoskin on Sunday in honour of Father’s Day.
‘Almost mate, almost,’ read the caption for the photo of Michael smiling for the camera.
The post comes just a day after Turia commemorated the six-year anniversary of the tragic bushfire that left her covered with burns on 65 per cent of her body.
‘I’ve never felt compelled to acknowledge the anniversary, but it’s been six years today since I was trapped in a grassfire competing in an ultra marathon,’ she captioned the post.
‘It’s been bloody tough and there have been some massive lows, but I’ve managed to rebuilt my life and I can honestly say, I’ve never been happier.’

Turia continued, offering followers experiencing difficult situations words of inspiration.

She looked radiant as she posed in a floral-themed dress as her pregnant form was projected as a shadow on the wall behind her.

It has been quite the red letter year for Turia, who also lost four fingers on her left hand and her right thumb in the 2011 incident in the Western Australian Kimberly region.
In June this year she announced that she was expecting her first child, a boy, with fiance Michael.
Speaking to the Adelaide Advertiser in July, Turia revealed her parenthood plans, saying: ‘I want to teach him resilience; that no matter what happens he has the ability to cope because challenges are part of life.’
