Twitter denies Kanye West lost nine million followers

Rumors were circulating social media on Wednesday suggesting Kanye West’s pro-Trump tweets cost him nine million followers on Twitter.

Images that had apparently been edited show a drastic decrease in the outspoken rapper’s follower count on his page.

A spokesperson for Twitter confirmed West’s number of followers hadn’t plummeted as many had suggested.

‘We can confirm that Kanye’s follower count is currently at approximately 27M followers,’ the statement provided to The Verge said.

‘Any fluctuation that people might be seeing is an inconsistency and should be resolved soon.’

The 40-year-old father-of-three went on a tweeting spree today, speaking erratically about a slew of topics – including his love for Trump, his family and his shoe line success, to name a few.

West received backlash for expressing his political opinions – which he argued to be unfair.

‘You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone,’ West said.

‘I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.’

He also shared a photo of his own ‘Make America Great Again’ hat with the caption: ‘My MAGA hat is signed,’ next to several fire emojis.

The ‘Famous’ crooner, who is married to reality TV sensation, Kim Kardashian, said he helped her write one of the many tweets.

‘My wife just called me and she wanted me to make this clear to everyone. I don’t agree with everything Trump does. I don’t agree 100% with anyone but myself,’ West wrote.

Kardashian West backed up her man after many questioned his mental state.

‘He’s a free thinker, is that not allowed in America? Because some of his ideas differ from yours you have to throw in the mental health card? That’s just not fair,’ the beauty entrepreneur wrote.

‘He’s actually out of the sunken place when he’s being himself which is very expressive.’
