Twitter goes wild for woman’s dramatic gold, white, and marble home transformation

An aspiring interior designer has wowed fans with her stunning home renovation.   

Olamide James, 27, from north London, tweeted before and after photos of her living room area, which shows how she made her home from dull to bespoke.

The photos have now received more than 33,500 likes and 8,400 retweets. 

Olamide, who is the director of her own company said: ‘I shopped at places such as Wayfair, Dunelm, and Homesense – but the chairs, sofa, and headboard were made bespoke.’

Discussing the bathroom, Olamaide explained: ‘I changed the fixtures to gold of course , changed the tiles to marble and obviously went extra with the decor’ (Before left, after right)

Olamide changed the sink from silver to white, got a gold tap instead of silver and painted the silver details gold

With a £20,000 budget, Olamide also made-over her kitchen, en-suite bathroom, bedroom, and an open wardrobe and office.

The aspiring interior designer made sure her home was dripping in gold, white, and marble.

‘I stayed at my family’s home until everything was completed in July,’ Olamide explained.

‘Most of the work was done in one month and a second month was just for finishing touches.’

After posting the pictures online, fans described the room as ‘beautiful’ and ‘amazing’.

'This is probably the least exciting but the most practical room and something I've always wanted' Olamide explained.  'I converted the secondnd bedroom into an open wardrobe  and office. I call it my "cloffice". Using one room for multiple purposes is always a constructive choice'

Explaining her design motivations on Twitter, Olamide explained: ‘This is a before and after two months post renovation after purchasing my home. 

‘As you can see I’m extra and love interior design. 

‘I’d love to start staging homes and interior designing so an RT will go a long way.
