Twitter goes wild over man feeding his girlfriend chicken

A man has unknowingly set the bar for doting boyfriends everywhere after he was photographed feeding his girlfriend chicken nuggets while she was getting her nails done.

Lea Adame, a 19-year-old from Orange County, California, was watching Sam Huynh, 25, feed his girlfriend Aubrey Yip, 23, at ProfessioNail Salon last Friday, when she took to Twitter to gush about the heartwarming scene.

‘A guy at the salon is straight up feeding his girl chicken nuggets while she gets her nails done that’s the kind of love & support I need,’ she tweeted.

Lea went on to share an image of the moment to prove she wasn’t exaggerating, and the picture sees Sam and Aubrey with their backs facing away from the camera.

However, Sam can clearly be seen lifting a chicken nugget up to Aubrey’s lips while she enjoys a manicure.

Aubrey told Daily Mail Online in an email that she and Sam have been dating for almost two months, and they made an appointment for her to get her nails done with his mom as a surprise so they could meet for the first time.

‘Sam was feeding me because I had just weighed in for a powerlifting competition and needed to eat throughout the day to prepare,’ she explained, adding: ‘He knows I love nuggets.’

But Sam’s chivalry went much farther than just feeding her the nuggets, as Aubrey revealed that he even had all four of her favorite chicken nugget sauces laid out on the table for her.

‘He asked me which ones I wanted for each bite,’ she said.

Lea’s message about them has been retweeted over 29,000 times, with many people taking to the comments section to hail the duo ‘couple goals’.

‘Don’t try to come into my life without this type of love,’ tweeted Tania Colon, and a woman named Ary noted: ‘Most guys wouldn’t even go [with] them to get their nails done, let alone this.’

Aubrey told Daily Mail Online that she didn’t realize their photo was taken at the time. When she saw Lea’s tweet a few days ago, she actually thought it was a ‘coincidence’ before she realized it was about her and Sam.

‘The attention is absolutely fun,’ Sam told Daily Mail Online in an email. ‘We never thought this would be the result of a small gesture.

‘Friends have been telling me that I’ve raised the bar for boyfriends and asked how I’m going to top this.’

As for them being hailed the couple that everyone wants to be, Aubrey made it clear that she is grateful for Sam and his sweet gestures, and she is happy he is getting the recognition he deserves.

‘Everyone has different goals and standards for their relationship, but I’m thankful that people are appreciating what Sam does for me,’ she said. ‘I know I do.’
