Two bodies are pulled from a unit fire as neighbours say they heard a woman crying for help moments after her ex-partner visited her home
Two bodies have been recovered from the scene of a suspicious house fire in Queensland’s south-east.
Emergency services were called to a townhouse engulfed inflames in the Logan suburb of Browns Plains around 4am Monday morning.
Preliminary investigations indicate the blaze was deliberately lit and a crime scene has been established.
The remains of two people were recovered from inside the gutted townhouse on Monday.
Autopsies will be conducted to determine if they are a 49-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man who are unaccounted for.
Police are working to determine the events leading up to the fire and urge anyone with information to come forward.
More to come.
