Two Britons have died and another is fighting for her life after a car crash involving their rented Jeep in a Greek party resort.

A man and a woman were both killed after the vehicle hit a parked motorbike at about 6am on Monday morning in Malia.

The third passenger, a woman, was rushed to hospital and is now in intensive care, while another female, 18, walked away from the horror crash without any injuries.

She was then taken to Hersonissos police station to provide an account of the incident, according to Greek newspaper Kathimerini.

A Foreign Office spokesman said: ‘We are supporting the families of three British people involved in a car accident in Crete, and are in contact with local authorities.’
