Two children are lucky to be alive after being swept into a drain in separate incidents during heavy rain in Queensland.
A seven-year-old boy was making his way home from a park in Narangba, 34 kilometres north of Brisbane with his sister on Sunday afternoon, Nine News reported.
The pair were caught in a storm when the girl lost a gumboot.

‘The water was pushing me and I went in and I hit my head,’ she said.
‘I was scare a little bit.’

The State Emergency Service advised people in Queensland to keep clear of creeks and storm drains and refrain from driving, walking or riding through floodwaters.
The bad weather caused havoc at the weekend, with emergency services reporting a number of dramatic rescues.
