Two people are killed in a horror double shooting at a townhouse complex – as police hunt for gunman still on the run
Two people have died following a double shooting in Queensland with one shot inside a townhouse and another in the complex’s driveway.
A manhunt is now underway by police for the gunman, who remains at large, following the incident in Caboolture, north of Brisbane, on Saturday.
Emergency crews were called to Lower King Street about 5.20pm and despite the best efforts of paramedics to resuscitate the men, both of whom were rushed to Caboolture Hospital, they did not survive.
Both men were aged in their 20s and 30s.
Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots and seeing a man fleeing the scene.
Police had established a crime scene in the area by 6pm with a large section of the street being closed off to the public.
