Big name clubs – including Real Madrid, PSG and Juventus – remain in contact with the France international’s representatives about signing the 29-year-old on a free transfer this summer.

The France international’s contract is due to expire at the end of the season with the World Cup winner looking unlikely to sign a new deal at Old Trafford.

No official offers have been made yet, but two Premier League clubs have also been in touch with Pogba’s camp, according to Sky Sports News.

Pogba only recently returned to fitness for United after sustaining a bad thigh injury last year while with France on international duty.

He has made 23 appearances in all competitions for United so far this season, scoring once, but despite his form and injury set-back clubs are on red alert.

Pogba returned to United in 2016 for a then-world record £89million fee, but his second stint at the club hasn’t gone as planned.

If he departs at the end of June, he will only have a Europa League, League Cup and Community Shield to show for it.

All three of those trophies came in his first season back in England under Jose Mourinho, preceding a painful five-season silverware drought.

His former club Juventus are one of the teams in the hunt along with Madrid, Barca and PSG, but the Italian giants could be a good option – after having so much success last time round.

In his previous spell at Juventus, the midfielder won four Serie A titles and the Coppa Italia on two occasions while also helping the club to reach the 2015 Champions League final.

Pogba made 178 appearances for Juventus during a four year spell at the club between 2012 and 2016 having left United on a free as a youngster under Sir Alex Ferguson.

A switch to PSG, however, have long been linked with Pogba and would be keen to bring him back home to his native country, as they look to compete for Champions League honours, after failing at the last-16 stage once again this season.

Spanish giants Real Madrid are also ready to swoop in as they look to rebuild their squads this summer to remain among Europe’s elite clubs after disappointing seasons.
