Former NFL running back Brandon Jacobs has revealed he still regrets his very first sexual encounter in a bizarre post on social media about losing his virginity.

The 42-year-old, who won the Super Bowl twice during the first of two stints with the New York Giants, left fans baffled after making the random admission about his early sex life on X.

‘Yall wanna know something that bothers me? I am 42 years old and I regret losing my virginity to the person I lost it to,’ he said on Thursday. ‘It means nothing but I wish it was another person other than her.’

Jacobs has two children with wife Kim – whom he married back in 2005 – in sons Brayden, 18, and Quinn, 14.

Kim fell pregnant with Brayden back in 2006, meaning the regretful sexual encounter Brandon is referring to likely happened more than 20 years ago.

Fans were confused by his virginity revelation on Thursday, with one replying: ‘You’re a 2 time SB champion. Why tf are you tweeting this’.

‘Ain’t no way this was one of my fav childhood players bruh,’ said another.

A third said more sympathetically: ‘Normal to have regrets big dogg but can’t dwell on it or you’ll never find peace’.

While a fourth joked: ‘Yeah go head and log off for me fam’.

Jacobs was selected by the Giants with the 110th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2005 NFL Draft out of Southern Illinois, before going on to play exactly 100 times in his first spell with the team.

He played an integral role in their 2007 and 2011 Super Bowl triumphs, before eventually heading to the San Francisco 49ers in 2012.

After missing the first two months of the season due to injury, Jacobs saw his playing time limited upon return, before he was suspended for the final three games after hitting out at the team on social media.

The Louisiana man returned to the Giants in 2013 after being waived by the Niners, playing another seven games before retiring.

Jacobs made a total of 120 NFL appearances, 118 with New York, registering 5,555 rushing yards and 64 rushing touchdowns, plus 775 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns.
