Two toddlers tried to wake their mother, 30, just minutes before she died of ‘blood clot’ in home

Two toddlers were found trying to wake their 30-year-old mother after she tragically died at their home.

Oliver, three, and 20-month-old Jack Talbot were found climbing on their mother Danielle in a desperate attempt to wake her up after she collapsed at home in Bloxwich, Walsall.

The boys’ grandparents John and Sandra Gutteridge discovered the devastating scene when they arrived at the house on January 9.

They called paramedics who carried out CPR on Mrs Talbot for 50 minutes but they were unable to resuscitate her.

Devastated husband Jason Talbot and their family are now awaiting postmortem results but believe Mrs Talbot may have died from a blood clot.

Her brother Jono Gutteridge said: ‘She (Mrs Talbot) had text our mother to tell them to come over. Just 20 minutes later they arrived at her house,’

‘They discovered Ollie and Jack on top of Danielle trying to wake her up.

‘They called 999 and an ambulance arrived.

‘Paramedics gave her CPR and were working on her for 50 minutes but they couldn’t revive her. It is just heartbreaking.’

He added: ‘Danielle had been complaining about having a headache but, at this stage, we don’t know what caused her death.

‘We are waiting for the coroner to let us know.’

Mr Gutteridge said Mrs Talbot – who worked as a scheduler for PSH Medical Group – had been told by doctors at the age of 20 that she could never have children due to medical complications.

But on Christmas Day in 2015 she discovered she was pregnant with their first son Oliver.

Her second son Jack was born in May 2018.

Mr Gutteridge added: ‘She never thought she would have kids of her own.

‘Then when she found out she was pregnant on Christmas Day back in 2015 it was like a miracle.

‘She was just over the moon – words couldn’t express her excitement.

‘Oliver came along and then less than two years later Jack was born. She would do anything for them, she just adored them.’

Mr and Mrs Talbot married in July 2017 at Walsall Registry Office. The couple decided not to go on honeymoon so they could spend time and money on Oliver instead.

Mr Gutteridge said: ‘It was such a wonderful day and great to see them so happy.

‘They were such a fantastic couple and when Oliver and Jack came along it made the family complete.

‘Now it has all been taken away and it is just so sad.’

He added: ‘Danielle was just a special, lovely person. She was the perfect mother who would dote on them and do anything for them.

‘As a person she was just the loveliest of people. She always saw the best in everyone.’

He posted: ‘Sadly on the 09/01/2020 my beautiful sister lost her life leaving behind two beautiful boys and an amazing husband.

‘Danielle was only 30 years old. Danielle was told 10 years ago that she would not be able to have children but then on Christmas day four years ago Danielle woke up and done a test that came back positive.

‘Danielle and Jason would finally get what they always wanted. Danielle gave birth to their beautiful baby boy Oliver on the 23/08/2016.

‘Danielle and Jason had more great news when they found out she was going to give birth to their second beautiful boy Jack on the 20/05/2018.

‘All Danielle ever wanted was too be a mom and I will say she was the best mom any child could of ever possibly wanted.

‘Danielle was a working mom who would have done anything to put food on the table and clothes on their backs.

‘Unfortunately Danielle only got to enjoy being a mom for three years and my poor nephews and my brother-in-law are now left without a mother and a wife.

‘We are asking anyone who would like to help Oliver and Jack by donating anything they possibly can as I know for a fact she would have wanted that instead of flowers.

‘So all of the money raised will go to her boys Oliver and Jack.’
