Miami Dolphins wideout Tyreek Hill allegedly offered the man he is accused of slapping $200 following the dispute.
According to a Miami-Dade Police Report viewed by the South Florida Sun Sentinel, the league’s highest-paid receiver told an associate to put forth the sum to the employee who was allegedly struck on the ‘back of his head and neck.’
Hill reportedly said, ‘I can buy you and the boat’ to the charter’s captain after he had asked the Dolphins No. 10 and his associates to exit the boat, which they had not been given authorization to be on.
According to the report, Hill ‘became enraged and attempted to enter the boat to cause him bodily harm but was held back by unknown associates.’
The man allegedly struck heard Hill, according to the Sentinel, telling a member of his party to hand over the $200. The alleged victim did not accept the money and Hill departed imminently.
Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill is being investigated by Miami police over an alleged assault
Rosenhaus, who has been Hill’s longtime rep, was reportedly with the Dolphins star Sunday
According to the police report, surveillance footage of the incident ‘backed up the boat captain’s and employee’s accounts.’
On Monday, police released a statement with regard to the ongoing case.
‘After all of the evidence has been received and all witnesses have been interviewed and their sworn statement taken, then the evaluation of all evidence can be undertaken in light of the requirements of Florida’s criminal statutes,’ the statement, via South Florida 6, read.
The Dolphins released a statement following news of the incident surfacing.
‘We are aware of the situation and have been in contact with Tyreek, his representatives and the NFL. We will reserve further comment at this time.’
On Tuesday, his agent Rosenhaus also shared a video of himself swimming with, and wrestling, a shark caught on a fishing line and received a mixed reaction regarding the moment.
Hill was with Rosenhaus on the trip and one of Rosenhaus’ friends could be heard asking the wideout if he’d like to join the agent in the water. His response was emphatic; ‘Hell naw’ (sic).
The ex-Chiefs receiver has previously been investigated by police. In 2019 he was named in a child abuse report.
Hill is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL and has made the Pro Bowl on seven occasions
He was under investigation for an alleged battery incident involving a juvenile, according to multiple published reports. The Star reported that Hill’s then-three-year-old son suffered a broken arm in the incident.
However, Hill was never charged in that case. Hill is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL and has made the Pro Bowl in all seven of his seasons in the league.
He is entering his second season with the Dolphins after six seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Hill surprised fans this offseason when he announced he intended to retire after the 2025-26 season, which would be his tenth in the NFL.
