Tyreek Hill’s dramatic run-in with police takes new twist as ANOTHER Dolphins player Calais Campbell reveals he was also placed in handcuffs

A second Miami Dolphins player said he was detained this morning outside Hard Rock Stadium while trying to deescalate teammate Tyreek Hill’s altercation with police.

Miami defensive lineman Calais Campbell said after the Dolphins win over the Jacksonville Jaguars that Hill was not the only person placed in handcuffs a block from the stadium.

‘For him to put handcuffs on me, I felt some type of way. But that just goes to show how resilient we are. We didn’t let that stop us,’ Campbell said in a post-game interview.

During an altercation with police, Hill was pinned and handcuffed to the ground after a traffic stop where the wide receiver was allegedly speeding in his sports car.

Hill later mimicked the police incident after scoring an 80-yard touchdown by holding his hands behind his back as if he was arrested.

Hill even appeared to be struck by an officer unprovoked in a shocking video after being cuffed on the sidewalk just one block away from the stadium.

While driving to the game, the 30-year-old was ordered to pull over around one block away from Hard Rock after being cited for ‘reckless driving’, according to ESPN’s Jeff Darlington.

Hill was then seen being detained on the ground and led away in cuffs following a reported alleged altercation with an officer, before cops released him shortly after. Several of his Miami teammates are said to have pulled over to help deescalate the situation.

One of those teammates was allegedly Campbell.

After the ordeal, both made their way to Hard Rock Stadium as planned and started the game for Miami as expected.

In a statement given to DailyMail.com, Miami Dade Police Department confirmed they will review all of the details surrounding Hill’s detainment, including bodycam footage of the incident.

Director Stephanie V. Daniels said: ‘We are aware of the recent detainment of Miami Dolphins player Tyreek Hill by Miami-Dade Police Department officers. I have requested an immediate review of all details surrounding the incident, and we are also reviewing available body camera footage.

‘We will provide updates as further information becomes available.’

The Dolphin’s statement read: ‘This morning, WR Tyreek Hill was pulled over for a traffic incident about one block from the stadium and briefly detained by police. He has since been released.

‘Several teammates saw the incident and stopped to offer support.

‘Tyreek and all other players involved have safely arrived to the stadium and will be available for today’s game.’

Despite his client being released, Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has described the incident as a ‘heartbreaking situation’ which was ‘completely unnecessary’ and suggested they will take action.
