Tyson Fury flies into expletive-laden rant after breakdown in negotiations with Oleksandr Usyk

Tyson Fury embarked on an expletive-laden rant aimed at Oleksandr Usyk after a breakdown in negotiations between the two fighters.

It was announced on Wednesday that their planned April 29 heavyweight unification bout was off after the two parties failed to come to an agreement on various terms.

With the two having exchanged words while their teams slaved away in the background trying to get the fight on, Fury laid into the Ukrainian after it was confirmed the fight would not be happening.

‘Usyk you little s***house, you proper little s***bag, bog-eyed, gappy-toothed ugly little rat b******,’ the WBC heavyweight champion said on social media.

‘You slimy f***er, tried all week to get out of it, begging for a rematch like a little girl. You got your rematch then didn’t want to fight you little s***house p*****.

‘Always know p**** you were never man enough to tangle with the Gypsy King, ever in your life you little s***house.

‘You little 14-stone coward, you little s***bag, you rat little b******. All your team know it as well, and all the lawyers have the full information you little ugly b******.

‘Fight Dubois at the Copper Box now s***bag and always know that you, and anyone else like you, could never tangle with the Gypsy King you s***house little coward.’

Fury’s rant caps what has been marked by some as an unsavoury few weeks for the heavyweight division, with boxing again accused of failing to make the big fights happen when fans want them.

Last year, Fury saw his talks with Anthony Joshua and his promotional team at Matchroom, led by Eddie Hearn, breakdown ahead of their much-anticipated December bout. Fury ended up fighting Derek Chisora for a third time in a bout that was not welcomed in some quarters.

Usyk’s wife taunted Tyson Fury on Instagram after her husband’s undisputed heavyweight clash fell through, which was announced by the Ukranian’s team on Wednesday morning.

Yekaterina then took to her Instagram Stories to call Fury ‘greedy’ and label him the ‘Gypsy Queen’.

She posted a mock-up picture of Fury wearing a dress and wrote in Ukrainian: ‘And for the last time. Being greedy is very bad!!! The best is yet to come!!!’

Usyk’s wife also shared a poster of Fury and Derek Chisora claiming the 34-year-old’s fans are ‘waiting’ for another fight with Del Boy.

Yekaterina wrote: ‘This is the fight that the fans of Belly Fury are waiting for @tysonfury.’

The breakdown in negotiations is likely to do little to impress fans, with the toing and froing between the parties seemingly growing tiresome for many over the past weeks and months.

When the two faced off following Fury’s stoppage victory over Derek Chisora at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, it looked destined that a unification bout would take place between the two in the not-too-distant future.

However, various rumblings since then cast the likelihood of the fight taking place in the spring into serious doubt.

Speculation followed the negotiations, with it said that the two were some way apart on the purse split – with Fury wanting 70-30 –  and that that was throwing it into jeopardy.

Fury’s promoter Frank Warren gave an interview on March 7 in which he outlined the split between the two parties, and put a hard deadline of Friday of that week on the negotiations.

‘You need the agreement of both boxers to make it happen and at the moment we haven’t got that, so that’s where we’re at,’ he said.

‘We’re working hard to make it happen,’ Warren added. ‘And, with the greatest respect, I didn’t ring TalkSport to do an interview about it, you rang me.

‘So, out of courtesy I’m telling you where we are, but I’m not going to be conducting negotiations at the moment they’re confidential between the two parties.

‘But, I would say it’s not going to go past the end of this week that’s for sure because the proposed date is April 29.’
