McGregor did manage to make it back to his feet before a freak accident brought the fight to an abrupt end.

Sal D’Amato had it 10-9 to Poirier while both Derek Cleary and Junichiro Kamijo scored a 10-8 for the Diamond.
A 10-8 is a relatively rare event in an MMA fight and signifies round of real dominance.
