Temperatures are set to plunge this weekend as Britain wakes to frosty mornings and showers with some parts of the country feeling colder than Moscow.
It is time for Britons to pull on their hats and scarves with a rapid drop in temperature this evening, especially in northern parts of England and Scotland.
Tonight heavy, blustery showers will continue across Scotland, before bringing the chilly conditions down south.
The windchill factor in Glasgow will make people like they have stepped into the Russian capital, with temperatures dropping to 44F and a windchill of 32F.

The Met Office told the Daily Express: ‘Now through Friday evening we are going to keep the clear skies and as a result temperatures again will rapidly fall.
‘We are going to see further wintery showers and actually the snow levels start to come down, we could see some snow at lower levels in the far north by dawn on Saturday.
‘But again the wintery showers mainly confined in parts of Scotland, one or two showers into Northern Ireland and north-west England.
‘Elsewhere largely clear skies and under those clear skies frost temperatures, and by the start of the weekend.
‘Again low single figures in towns and cities, below freezing in the countryside.’
While England and Wales will be enduring showers and brisk winds, Scotland will be seeing sleet and snow over the weekend.

But those in the south hoping to get out their sledges may be left disappointed, as a warm front and thick cloud means the snow is unlikely to travel.
Saturday will be generally cloudy across southern and western parts with patchy rain, but drier and sunnier spells will be experienced in the north east.
Conditions will remain chilly on Sunday, with blustery winds in the north east of England. However it will turn milder and at times wetter from Monday, with a risk of snow over Scottish mountains.
