Ulrika Jonsson stripped down to just a towel on Friday when she took fans through her post-shower haircare routine after being sent some hair products.

Taking to Instagram, Ulrika, 53, first explained to fans her hair ‘isn’t looking too great at the moment’, before stripping down to just a towel to apply a hair mask in front of the camera.

Protecting her modesty with a fluffy white towel, the star showcased her svelte physique and chest tattoos – including one that said ‘papa’ – as she tended to her tresses.

The doting mother first appeared in her how-to clip in a navy V-neck T-shirt and with her hair worn down.

She paused the video to step into the shower and condition and shampoo her bright blonde tresses, resuming filming when it was time to apply the hair mask.

Ulrika explained: ‘Hello people, welcome to my bathroom. I wanted to talk to you about hair.

‘Don’t get me wrong, I do love my hair. But as you can see, it’s not looking too great at the moment, and obviously it’s changed a lot over the years.’

It comes a day after the star celebrated her daughter Martha’s 17th birthday on Friday as she admitted that they have ‘locked horns a fair bit’ recently.

The doting mother-of-four took to Instagram to share a series of pictures with her daughter, saying: ‘Sometimes I forget to tell her about the love I feel for her.’

Writing a lengthy heartfelt caption alongside, Ulrika said that she will ‘endeavour to do better’ and that her love for Martha ‘runs deep’.

The presenter penned: ’17 years ago today, this one was pulled through the sunroof of my belly: Martha Sky Hope. An 8lb bundle of obstinance, wilfulness, righteousness and determination.

‘Social justice courses through her veins; opinion screams wildly from her mouth and rhythm flows from her hips. She’s the whole package and then some. Never have I ever experienced someone like her.

‘Of late, we’ve locked horns a fair bit. It’s been tricky and a landscape I haven’t entirely navigated as well as I should have. But my love for this girl runs deep and we have so many connections and similarities that I never worry about “us”.’

Ulrika added that she is here to be a ‘parent’ to Martha and not her ‘friend’ as she celebrated how ‘special’ she is.

The presenter continued: ‘We speak truth to each other and it’s something I value tremendously. I am not here to be her friend. I am here to parent; to love beyond measure and, above all, to support.

‘Sometimes I forget to tell her about the love I feel for her. Sometimes I forget to hug this hedgehog of awesomeness. But I will endeavour to do better.’

Ulrika signed off her post by celebrating Gladys Knight, Kylie Minogue, Carey Mulligan and her sister, who also have birthdays on 28 May.

‘We’re gonna play @msgladysknight all day and party all night). Love you, Martha Moo.’

In 2014, Brian also adopted her daughter Bo from the presenter’s relationship with German hotel boss Markus Kempen.

The father of Ulrika’s son Cameron is John Turnbull, who she was married to between 1990-1995.

It comes as last month Ulrika revealed she is in the midst of a ‘sexual awakening’ and has even discussed her new found liberation with her children.

She explained: ‘I am a sexual creature. It’s something that I say regularly to my children — much to their horror.’

The TV personality also confessed her spontaneous nature means she ‘wouldn’t rule out’ another marriage.

When asked in an interview with The Sun whether or not she’d tie the knot again, Ulrika said: ‘I’m a hedonist and a spontaneous person who believes in love. While it would feel strange getting married again, I can’t ever rule it out for the future.’

Discussing her sex life, Ulrika added: ‘I enjoy sex, I want to have sex and I am open to experience that. And it’s difficult for women my age to say that without being seen in a certain way.’
