The car’s Sentry mode, which continuously monitors the environment surrounding the vehicle, recorded two men having a chat before one walks over to the car with a skateboard.

Vision shows him walking up to the Tesla and smashing the side mirror with the skateboard.

He then casually walked off and followed his friend into the exit.

Mr Boag was alerted to the damage in a text message.

He believed it was a ‘random attack’ and informed police.

‘I’m not sure if it was Tesla hate or just the closest car,’ Mr Boag said.

‘They didn’t take anything, just wham-bam and then they were off.’

Daily Mail Australia has contacted New South Wales Police for comment.

The incident comes after a woman at Westfield Shopping Centre in Penrith, in Sydney’s west, was caught red-handed vandalising a $110,000 Tesla on Sunday.

The disgruntled shopper was seen strolling past the car wearing pyjama bottoms before dragging her keys along the side of the car then walking away.
