A senior union official is being investigated for allegedly using his work mobile phone to call escorts.
Communications Workers Union national assistant secretary John O’Donnell’s phone was allegedly used to make 108 calls to numbers connected to online ads for escorts between August 2015 and November last year, the Daily Telegraph reports.
At least 20 of the calls on the phone, paid for by the CWU, which represents workers from companies including Australia Post and Telstra, were reportedly made during office hours.

A number called several times in 2016 was connected to an ad for a Swedish model called Amy who charges $400 an hour, according to the Telegraph.
Another number that was called seven times during the course of an afternoon where Mr O’Donnell was supposed to be at work was linked to a young escort in Melbourne.
However, there is no evidence that Mr O’Donnell paid for any services from escorts.
But Mr O’Donnell claims he has done nothing wrong – and said that some of the calls were to friends as well as a ‘soccer team’ he coached.
A CWU spokesman confirmed to Daily Mail Australia that the matter is being investigated externally.
‘The Union takes the conduct of its officials incredibly seriously, and expects the highest standards of behaviour and integrity,’ he said.
‘This matter has been referred for external investigation.
‘We are unable to make further comment at this time.’
